Miss South Point Pageant coming up

The 2020 Miss South Point High Pageant contestants line up.

South Point High School will hold its annual Miss South Point Scholarship Pageant on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at 7:00pm in the Gerald Cortner Auditorium at the school. Tickets are available in the school office for $10 and will be on sale at the door on the night of the pageant.

Mr. David Grimes, a teacher at South Point, will serve as the Master of Ceremonies along with Miss Mikayla Secrest, the reigning Miss South Point.

Contestants in this year’s pageant are:

Catherine Armstrong, a junior, who is the daughter of Hunter and Anneke Armstrong. Catherine’s talent presentation will be a theatre dance performance.

Abigail Barbu, a senior, who is the daughter of Caius and Mia Barbi. Abigail’s talent presentation will be a vocal performance.

Karmen Bass, a junior, who is the daughter of Adam and Jenna Bass. Karmen’s talent presentation will be a lyrical dance performance. 

Blaine Featherston, a senior, who is the daughter of Derek and Stacy Featherston. Blaine’s talent presentation will be a tap dance performance. 

Abigail Martin, a junior, who is the daughter of Brandon Martin and Leslie Dover. Abigail’s talent presentation will be vocal performance. 

Lilly Myers, a junior, who is the daughter of Philip and Kelly Myers. Lilly’s talent presentation will be a lyrical dance performance. 

Darby Parker, a senior, who is the daughter of Dan and Sheila Parker. Darby’s talent presentation will be a piano and vocal performance.

Bao Phan, a senior, who is the daughter of Minh Phan and Thuy Ho. Bao’s talent presentation will be a piano performance. 

Sophie Smith, a senior, who is the daughter of Nathan and Levacy Smith. Sophie’s talent presentation will be an electric violin performance.

Abigael Soltis, a senior, who is the daughter of Christine Hettler. Abigael’s talent presentation will be a colorguard routine.

Carlin Spence, a senior, who is the daughter of Charlie and Tonya Bumgardner. Carlin’s talent presentation will be a flute performance.

Halle Yackeren, a junior, who is the daughter of Don and Jill Yackeren. Halle’s talent presentation will be a contemporary dance performance.

Contestants will compete in the areas of interview, talent presentation, fashion wear, and evening wear.  Over $10,000 will be awarded in scholarship money.
