Abbey baseball action...

The Belmont Abbey pitching staff struck out 15 Lenoir-Rhyne batters last Wednesday. The Crusaders used four pitchers to combine to allow just six hits, two runs, and five walks. The Abbey is now 3-9 on the year as the Bears improve to 7-5.


Ben Sneider launched the Crusaders’ first home run of the season in the fifth inning. Justin Moran also recorded a base hit. Abbey starter Mitchell Keener pitched 2.2 innings walking one and striking out four. Christian Mracna struck out four in his two innings of relief. Dylan Smith struck out six of the seven batters he faced.
