Belmont Parks and Recreation reaches sports community through online contest
Although youth sports across the country had to be placed on hold due to the Covid 19 outbreak, The City of Belmont Parks and Recreation department found some interactive ways to keep their spring sports participants active.
Back in March, the Belmont Parks and Recreation Department staff came up with sports word searches, cross word puzzles and mazes for their youth participants for a chance to compete for $10, $15 and $20 gift cards to Academy Sports and Outdoors.
Several participants battled to get their answer sheets in first to the department to meet the contest deadline. After all entries were collected and reviewed, there were 6 winners selected.
Winners Pictured are: Paisley Hartsell, Ian and Emma McGinnis, and Hudson Sass.
